"Stories Under Occupation", a Play, George I. al-Khury, al-Kasaba
A colour photograph of a performance of George Ibrahim al-Khury's play, "Alive from Palestine: Stories Under Occupation". Produced by al-Kasaba Theatre and Cinematheque and Directed by Nizar az-Zuʿby, the play ran for over 500 performances in the Arab World, North America, Japan, and Singapore, featuring a cast of actors, including ʿimad Farrajin, Khalifa Natur, Georgina ʿaṣfur, Khalid al-Maṣu, Kamel al-Basha, and Ismaʿil ad-Dabagh. In 2001, "Stories Under Occupation" won the first prize at the Cairo International Festival for Contemporary and Experimental Theatre and the Carthage Theater Days Festival.
