"The King Went to Sleep", Children's Musical Theatre, al-Kasaba

Taken in 1989, this colour photograph captures a freeze of al-Kasaba Theatre and Cinematheque's children's musical theatre production, "The King Went to Sleep". Written and Directed by George Ibrahim, the play ran in several schools across the occupied West Bank, featuring a cast of actors, including Nawal al-Asʿad, Kamel al-Basha, Mahmud ʿawad, ʿaly Hijjawy, Ibrahim abu Jumʿa, and Nawal ʿawad.
