Handwritten, this archival item documents the diaries of Khalil Sakakini on Monday 27 November 1939, where he mentioned going with his sister Milia and cousin Hanna to the cemetery and spreading flowers, Yousef Abdo having him sign a bill of exchange for 20 pounds for the Arab Bank of his book "al-Jadeed (The New)", Estello Awad and his wife spending the evening at his house, wishing to go to a faraway place where he cannot see anyone and no one can see him for 2 or 3 days and wondering why his friends Issa al-Issa, Faraj Allah and Ashil haven't visited him as much.
