Diary of Khalil Sakakini, 7 March 1942
Handwritten, this archival item documents the diary of Khalil Sakakini on Saturday 7 March 1942, where he talked about him asking Labib Gholmieh to make a contract for him for a loan from the school fund in the amount of one hundred pounds to be paid to Mr Matossian. In the afternoon, he mentioned the visit Adel Jabr, George Khamis and Fakhri al-Johary paid him, and then talked about his lesson for fourth-grade students about the poem of Ibn Sana al-Mulk, which he started with "Others Fear Death or Dread Demise" which Sakakini said reminded him of Nietzsche's saying "No one can love me because they are below me, and I cannot love them because I am above them."
