A Photograph of the Mufti with the Egyptian Royal Consulate, Jerusalem, a Clipping

Found in the Sameeh Hammoudeh Collection and handwritten in Arabic, this document shows a paper clipping that includes a photograph and notes printed in Arabic. The photograph documents senior Palestinian men at the reception of the Egyptian Royal Consulate in Jerusalem on Eid al-Adha. From left to right they are, Amin al-Husseini, the Mufti of the Holy Land, and next to him are Hanna Barsoum, the consular agent, Ali abu al-Gheit Bey, Consul of the Kingdom of Egypt, Aziz Hasan Efendi, Secretary of the Consulate, and His Eminence al-Anba Basilius, the Coptic Bishop for the Orthodox in Jerusalem. The document also bears the seal of the Islamic Research Center in Jerusalem.
