Taken by Sam'an Sahhar, this photograph shows Bafsenior Jalal, deputy of the Latin community in Palestine, at a Christmas party in Manger Square in the city of Bethlehem on 24 December 1948, surrounded by several priests, the Apostolic Legate General, the Egyptian Governor of Bethlehem District, and the Mayor of Bethlehem Isa al-Bandak, in addition to several Bethlehem residents.
