A Recognition of Debt by Elias Shiha to Ishaq Touma, 8 February 1866
Issued on 8 February 1866 by Yacoub Nicola, this document shows a recognition of debt by Elias Abdallah Shiha and his son Ibrahim to Pastor Ishaq Touma, showing that the mentioned parties herein borrowed an amount of money worth 800 pennies from Pastor Ishaq and pledged to pay it back once the borrower is in need of which and if the loaner doesn't proceed to the payment he is to plunged by repair, damage and governmental fees. This recognition was witnessed by 3 people and was signed by Elias Shiha and his son Ibrahim Shiha, moreover, the footer of which confirmed that if Shiha couldn't pay, then, the Pastor is authorized to take the house of Elias.
