DESCRIPTION

Abdel-Hamid Hammad Nasr Nawaj'a's family kept documents that tell part of the family's history and life in the town of Yatta, south of Hebron, between the 1940s and the 1980s. The collection is divided into three sections, part of which focuses on the history of the family's ownership of plots of land and shares in some wells, and on Abdel-Hamid Nawaj'a's ownership of a quarry in the al-Khader area of Yatta. The documents in the second section display the relationship governing the clan’s laws in cases that resulted in the payment of blood money or any material losses, explaining the large branches of the Nawaj'a clan and the centrality of Abdl-Hamid Nawaj'a in his capacity as the head of the Nasr family. In the last section, the collection shows personal documents such as marriage contracts and school certificates.
