BIOGRAPHY

Baker Abdel-Haq was born in 1970 and completed high school in Nablus. He obtained a first university degree from Amman, and a master's and doctorate degree in computer science in Spain in 2004. He joined the academic staff at an-Najah National University in the same year and held the position of department head and dean of the Faculty of Information Technology. He is currently working on studies in the field of machine intelligence applications in designing advanced computers. On the social level, he held the position of President of the Fouad Nassar Association for Development Studies.

DESCRIPTION

This collection compiled by Baker Abdel-Haq from the family papers of his father, Khaldoun, his grandfather, Baker, and his great-grandfather, Abdel-Fattah, presents a form of life for a Nabulsi family who inhabited Mount Ebal and engaged in political and social action in the city. The papers include writings related to Khaldoun Abdel-Haq, who was a member of the National Bloc in the local council elections in 1976, school grades for the sons of Baker Abdel-Haq and his grandchildren, Khaldoun's children, and various family letters and photographs of the Abdel-Haq family and their relatives, the Shaheen family. The collection also presents the activity of Badria Shaheen, the mother of the owner of the collection, in the teaching field in the 1950s, when she was a teacher at the Qalqilya School.
