Sameh Abboushi is a Palestinian architect and author of children's books. He served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Visual Arts Forum and is a member of the General and Administrative Assembly of several Palestinian cultural institutions.

In the 1970s, Sameh Abboushi manually drew plans for several houses and old buildings surrounding the courtyards of al-Aqsa Mosque, including the houses of al-Budairy, as-Salfiti, Tahboub, al-Khalidi family Waqf, al-Bitar, al-Khatib, and al-Ansari families, most of which date back to the Mamluk and Ottoman periods. This was part of a project funded by the Islamic Development Bank to establish an institute for Islamic studies, with the aim of converting these residential buildings, by purchasing or renting them, into housing units for students who will enrol in the institute. However, the project never materialized. The collection also includes plans Abboushi drew for buildings in Ramallah and Tulkarem.
