Established over a century ago in the southern part of Nablus city centre, the factory is owned by Hamdi Aslan and his son, Jalal Aslan. The family has mastered and passed down the craft of traditional tile making from generation to generation, and today their factory stands as the last remaining stronghold of this craft in Palestine.

The collection displayed on the site documents samples of traditional coloured tiles, along with casting moulds made of copper, tin, and iron, and the factory’s account ledger from the 1960s.
