Founded in 1980 by a group of farmers in Salfit, the Cooperative Society for Olive Pressing, Manufacturing and Marketing in Salfit is a cooperative society which aims to establish a modern olive mill. Its idea is based on dividing the mill into shares, whereby a farmer who wants to participate shall contribute by holding stocks in the mill. The Society provides oil pressing services in return for the deduction of a certain percentage of and marketing the olive oil.

The Collection of the Cooperative Society for Olive Pressing, Manufacturing and Marketing in Salfit contains photographs documenting the Society's work in the mill, the minutes of the meetings of the Society as well as of its Administrative Commission, an introduction booklet of the Society, a copy of "Afaq at-Ta'awon" (Prospects of Cooperation) Newspaper, in addition to some documents related to the internal structure of the Society.
