Musa Sanad, Fadi's father, was born in 1949 in the village of Artas, located to the southwest of Bethlehem. In the early 1970s, he worked as a school teacher, and was distinguished for his feverish passion for the village and its history.

Fadi Sanad kept the archives of his father, Musa, and his collection includes several documents and photographs documenting life in the village of Artas, located in Bethlehem district. The content of the collection revolves around the village's customs and traditions, general views and nature, its religious importance to Jews, and its social and religious importance. The collection also contains unpublished handwritten texts that chronicle the history of the establishment of the village, and portraits of the villagers.
