Raja Sam'an Dawood was born in 1949 in Jerusalem, and his father, Sam'an, was a member of the Jordanian parliament during the tenure of Wasfi Tal as a prime minister.

The Raja Sam'an Dawood Collection shows photographs and documents, including photographs of him with his family, and others documenting the work of his father, Sam'an Dawood, as a member of the Jordanian parliament during the 1960s. The set of Sam'an's photographs includes photographs of the diplomatic meetings he attended as well as of the travels and celebrations in which he participated. The collection also contains documents, including a school certificate and a driver's license belonging to Sam'an.
