Marwan al-Barghouthi is a Palestinian freedom fighter from the village of Kobar, located in Ramallah district. He has been considered a symbol of the Palestinian Revolution and the Palestinian National Liberation Movement-Fateh, particularly during the Second Intifada 2000. He has been imprisoned since 2002 and sentenced to five life sentences.

The Marwan al-Barghouthi Collection features a set of photographs documenting his social and political life before his arrest, in addition to others of him with other prisoners in Israeli prisons.
