Born in Hebron in 1937, the shaheed Azmi Abdel-Mughni Zughier joined the Palestinian Revolution in 1968. He was the commander of the military surveillance in the Jordan Valley and was assassinated on 27 June 1982 during the Israeli invasion of Lebanon.

The Azmi Zughier Collection contains photographs of the shaheed Azmi Zughier and several of his companions in the Palestine Liberation Organisation during their presence in Lebanon in the 1980s.
