The al-Hannouneh Society for Popular Culture was established in Jordan by a small group led by the engineer Sa'adeh Saleh, out of his belief in the importance of popular culture as an essential element of the national identity.

The al-Hannouneh Society for Popular Culture Collection is linked to the artistic movement of the Palestinians in Jordan. It contains various performances by the al-Hannouneh Dabkeh and Folklore Band, posters of concerts held by the Society in Palestine and abroad, and photographs of the Society's honouring events.
