Born in Lebanon in 1896, Elias Kusa arrived in Haifa through crooked paths, but he spent most of his life there. He studied at the Faculty of Law at the American University of Beirut. In 1917 he arrived in Jerusalem with the British forces. As part of his work as a lawyer, Kusa defended the people of Haifa even after 1948, and his publications issued in several languages served as a weapon against Zionism. He died in 1971.
