BIOGRAPHY

Omar al-Jallad was born at Shawish's courtyard in the Old City of Jerusalem. His mother is the doctor Zainab al-Muhib, and his maternal aunt is the artist Fatima al-Muhib. He is a musical and theatrical artist, as well as a music teacher. He has many songs that he wrote and composed, and were chanted, memorized and lived in the consciousness of the masses. Al-Jallad is considered one of the pioneers of children's songs in Palestine.

The collection includes several sub-collections that had a role in Omar al-Jallad's life, as it contains materials that capture an aspect of his social and cultural life, photographs and documents that capture aspects of the social and cultural life of his mother, the doctor Zainab al-Muhib, in addition to artworks by his maternal aunt, Fatima al-Muhib.
