BIOGRAPHY

Mohammad Husein Ibregeith was born in the village of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, in 1930. He worked in the field of agriculture and trade in crops between Palestine and Jordan, lived in the area of Thagarat ash-Shabak, adjacent to the Gush Etzion settlement complex, and owned several plots of land that were soon classified as “C” after the signing of the Oslo Accords. The Accords brought restrictions manifested in terms of limited water, the uprooting of crops, and settler attacks, so the family began to search for other sources of livelihood besides agriculture. Ibregeith died on 16 April 2017.
