BIOGRAPHY

Ali Ahmad Foda was born in 1946 in the village of Qannir, located in the Haifa district and after the 1948 Nakba, his family took refuge in Tulkarm. Foda began writing poetry in Jordan and published his first work in 1969, titled "Filasteeneyon Kahad as-Sayf" (Palestinian as the Edge of the Sword). Foda joined the ranks of the Palestinian Revolution in Beirut and became a shaheed in 1982 during the siege of Beirut. Among his other poetry collections are "Qasa'ed Min Oyoun Emra'a" (Poems from a Woman's Eyes) and "Ewa'oth The'b" (The Howling of the Wolf).

DESCRIPTION

The Ali Foda Collection contains portraits of people who gifted him their portraits, and photographs of him with his students at Umm Abhara School, taken in the 1960s. The collection also contains documents in his handwriting, including drafts of his authenticated poems, a story by him published in al-Adeeb Magazine, and his collections of poetry such as "Ewa'oth The'b" (The Howling of the Wolf) and "Qasa'ed Min Oyoun Emra'a" (Poems from a Woman's Eyes).
