Abd al-Fattah Ahmad Irshaid was a dentist who was born in 1922 in Sir, located in the Jenin district. He studied dentistry in Haifa, married Saniya az-Za'eem and lived in Haifa until 1948, after which he returned to Sir and then relocated to Syria. He stayed in Damascus at his father-in-law's house for two years, then returned to Jenin and opened a dental clinic there in 1950. He died in the 1980s.

The Abdel-Fatah Irshaid Collection contains personal photographs that reflect social life in Jenin, including family occasions such as birthdays and weddings, photographs of his children in school classes and of family outings, in addition to official documents, including marriage contracts, passports, certificates, and official licenses such as a driving license, a well-digging license, and a dentistry-practice license during the 1960s. The collection also includes a chequebook from the Arab Bank that dates back to 1967, invitation cards, an architectural plan for his house, school copybooks and magazines.
