BIOGRAPHY

Hussein Jamal Mohammad Awawdeh was born in 1950 in the village of Karma, located in Dura District near Hebron. He obtained a certificate from the Teachers' Training Centre of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and worked as a teacher in the Bayt Amra Primary School for Boys as well as in schools in Amman and Saudi Arabia. He married Yousra Awawdeh in 1975 and had six children with her.

DESCRIPTION

The Hussein Awawdeh Collection contains several photographs that show members of the Awawdeh family with each other or with their friends on various occasions, in addition to documents that include letters related to the work of the teachers Yousra and Hussein Awawdeh, as well as certificates, cards, passports, receipt vouchers issued in 1962 by the Karma and Abda Union Cooperative Society for Credit and Saving, and other papers related to the life of the Awawdeh family.
