BIOGRAPHY

Hussein Mhanna is a poet and storyteller who was born in the village of Buqei'a in Upper Galilee in 1945. He completed his primary education in his village, before completing his secondary education in the village of Rameh. After that, he obtained a qualifying diploma for teaching English from the Oranim Institute in Haifa and worked as a teacher of Arabic and English in the village. He has several collections of poetry, including "Watani Yanzifo Hubban" (My Country Bleeds Love) in 1978, "Amooto Qabedan Hajaran" (I Shall Die Clutching a Stone) in 1986, "Tamtamat Akher al-Layl" (Late Night Whispers)" in 1988, and "Qabedoona Ala al-Jamr" (Clutching the Embers) in 1991. He won the Eternal Olive Award, which is the Dar al-Anwar Award, in partnership with the People's Foundation for Arts.

DESCRIPTION

This collection contains notebooks featuring various details recorded by Fandi and Hussein Mhanna in Arabic of their personal and family lives, as these notebooks are distinguished by their different periods, which are clearly recorded on each notebook. The collection also includes educational notebooks, a notebook of poems, several letters that Hussein Mhanna sent or received during his detention in Israeli Occupation prisons in 1978, and his school certificates.
