show more show lessThe collection contains several video clips, produced in cooperation between the Center for Trust, Peace and Social Relations at Coventry University in Britain, the Palestinian Museum and Dar al-Kalima University in Bethlehem, and consists of interviews with residents of the 27 communities and villages making up the Masafer Yatta area, located in the far south of the Hebron governorate. The interviews focus on the social, political and economic lifestyles experienced by the residents of Masafer Yatta, particularly on their lives in caves and their work in the professions of agriculture, shepherding, dairy and textile industries. The recordings also deal with the prevailing customs and traditions in the region, such as the phenomenon of tribal reconciliation and folk songs at weddings, the problems faced by the residents in this area, such as the policies of forced displacement and expulsion pursued by the Israeli Occupation Forces since 1967, and the neglect the region suffers from.
