"It is not About a Rummaneh", a Play, David Greg, al-Kasaba
Taken in 1986 at al-Kasaba Theatre and Cinematheque, this colour photograph captures a freeze of David Greg's play "It is not About a Rummaneh". Translated into Arabic by George Ibrahim and directed by Rufus Norris, the play featured a cast of actors, including Khalifa Natur, Mahmud 'awad, Kamel al-Basha, Husam abu ʿeisheh, Georgina ʿaṣfur, ʿimad Farrajin, Manal 'awad, Nizar Zu’oby, Ibrahim ʿlayut, and Samer abu ʿeisheh. Jamil as-Sayeh composed the background music. The play was performed only once due to the outbreak of the First Intifada.
