"Death and the Maiden", an Adapted Play, George Ibrahim, al-Kasaba
Taken in 1997, this photograph captures a freeze of George Ibrahim's adaption of Ariel Dorfman's play, "Death and the Maiden". Translated and directed by Ibrahim, this adapted play ran at al-Kasaba Theatre and Cinematheque premises in al-Quds (Jerusalem), the Avignon Festival as well as in Jordan, Morocco, and Tunisia, starring Ibrahim, Muhammad al-Bakry, ʿarin ʿumary, and Makram Khury.
