A family photograph of Abdel-Salam al-Barqawi with his wife Zuhaira al-Muhandes and their first son Hisham. Zuhaira was devoted to raising her children after her husband was assassinated in 1936. The family owned a pharmacy in Jenin, where Greek pharmacists worked along with her husband. As for their son, Hisham studied Metal Fabrication in Egypt and worked as an engineer in the iron and steel factory in Helwan.
