"Liberty is a broad", a Poster Published by Crafton Graphic Company
A black-and-white poster entitled "Liberty is a broad" designed by Richard Weigand to promote a film by the American performance artist Pat Oleszko that will be broadcasted by ZDF, a German public-service television broadcaster. The title is a wordplay meaning that the artist, dressed as lady liberty in the poster, is going abroad (Germany) or to mean that liberty is a "broad" which is North American slang for "woman." Oleszko has a running gag where she dresses up as lady liberty to make social and political commentary.
