Newspaper Clippings on Shakaa-Matt Dialogue, November 1979
Issued in November 1979, this document shows newspaper clippings from ad-Dustour, al-Anwar, Asharq al-Awsat, as-Siyasieh, al-Akhbar, and al-Anba' featuring the text of the dialogue between Bassam Shakaa, mayor of Nablus, and Israeli General Danny Matt, coordinator of the Israeli Army activities in the occupied Palestinian Territories, during a meeting between them. The Israeli Occupation Authorities exploited Shakaa's talk during the meeting to justify his arrest and the attempt to expel him in the same month.
