A Floor Plan of the Umayyad Palaces Located South of al-Aqsa Mosque
A floor plan of the Umayyad Palaces, known to be the administrative centres in the Umayyad Dynasty, located south of al-Aqsa Mosque, Jerusalem; these three palaces were discovered during the end of the 1960s through the 1970s. They have an entrance leading to the Mosque called the Gate of al-Walid named after the Umayyad Khalifa al-Walid bin Abd al-Malek who finished building these palaces after the death of his father Abd al-Malek bin Marwan.
