Issue 227 of the Attali'ah Weekly, 8 July 1982

Published on 8 July 1982, this document shows issue 227 of the Attali'ah Weekly, whose editor-in-chief was Bashir al-Barghouthi and which was printed at the Salah ad-Din Press in Jerusalem. This issue contained numerous subjects, including the Beirut agreement, which, in a nutshell, stipulated replacing the Israeli occupation of Lebanon with a US occupation; exploiting the Lebanon War; the displacement of thousands of Palestinians from the city of Rafah; an Israeli war in the West Bank and the dismissal of the Jenin Municipality in addition to the economic recession and trade slump in Jerusalem. It also contained several political, economic and social news items, and dedicated a section for sports, arts and cultural news.
