Issue 233 of the Attali'ah Weekly, 19 August 1982

Published on 19 August 1982, this document shows issue 233 of the Attali'ah Weekly, whose editor-in-chief was Bashir al-Barghouthi and which was printed at the Salah ad-Din Press in Jerusalem. This issue contained numerous subjects, including the dispatch of international forces to Beirut following the Palestine Liberation Organisation's departure from the city; the displacing of 40 families from the Swedish Village camp in the Gaza Strip; a campaign against the Voluntary Work Committees following the opening of the Nazareth Camp; the statement of the First Palestinian Literature Festival in addition to the confiscation of land at the Sheikh Hamouda area in the Gaza Strip. It also contained several political, economic and social news items, and dedicated a section for sports, arts and cultural news.
