Issue 248 of the Attali'ah Weekly, 2 December 1982
Published on 2 December 1982, this document shows issue 248 of the Attali'ah Weekly, whose editor-in-chief was Bashir al-Barghouthi and which was printed at the Salah ad-Din Press in Jerusalem. This issue contained numerous subjects, including the US envoy's failure to change the Palestinian position on representation, subjecting Palestinian prisoners to horrendous acts of torture in the Ansar Prison and the killing of 14 prisoners due to torture, commencing the implementation of the scheme to annex South Lebanon to the Israeli Occupation State, the deteriorating conditions of clinics in the Palestinian refugee camps across the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, a report on the reality of Arab workers in the Israeli labour market in addition to the risk of the of bankruptcy of Arab truck drivers in Jerusalem due to Israeli policies. It also contained several political, economic and social news items, and dedicated a section to sports, arts and cultural news.
