Issue 259 of the Attali'ah Weekly, 17 February 1983

Published on 17 February 1983, this document shows issue 259 of the Attali'ah Weekly, whose editor-in-chief was Bashir al-Barghouthi and which was printed at the Salah ad-Din Press in Jerusalem. This issue contained numerous subjects, including the Palestinian National Council's assertion of national unity, Israeli preparations for an attack on Syria, the inhabitants of Beitillu and Kobar's confrontation of settlement, the formation of peasant committees and curfew in Beitillu, ongoing settler harassment of the inhabitants of Sheikh Arab in addition to persecution of Palestinians in South Lebanon. It also contained several political, economic and social news items, and dedicated a section to sports, arts and cultural news.
