"Shkib Arsalan", Adel Zawati, a Paper Clipping
Handwritten in Arabic, this paper clipping documents the name of "Shkib Arsalan", a prince born in 1869 and died in 1946 in Chouaifet in Lebanon where he learned from the pioneers of Arab renaissances, such as Muhammad Abdo and Jamal ed-Din al-Afghany and others. He worked in politics and was anti-colonialism. The clipping also mentions Muhammad Ali at-Taher, one of the fighters in the Palestine Great Rebellion 1936-39 who had formed a 200-member squad of Druze from Daliyat al-Karmel and Isfiya.
