"Khirbet Subeita", Adel Zawati, a Paper Clipping
Handwritten in Arabic, this paper clipping documents the name of "Khirbet Subeita", a Khirbet (helmet) thirty kilometres south of western Negev; amidst a field by Wadi al-Abyad northwest of the al-Baqar mountain. This Khirbet had three churches built during the Byzantine Empire reign, but excavation work therein started in 1914 during the British Mandate for the establishment of the Shafta Kibbutz.
