"Biyar 'Adas", ʿĀdel az-Zawaty, a Paper Clipping

Handwritten in Arabic, this paper clipping documents the name of "Biyar 'Adas", a depopulated village west of Jaljulia, south of Kafr Saba, and northeast of Jaffa. Occupied in 1948 for the establishment of the "Ele Shime'" colony, the village name comes from the fact that the village either had underground stores or that its residents mainly ate 'Adas (lental).
