"'Arsuf", ʿĀdel az-Zawaty, a Paper Clipping

Handwritten in Arabic, this paper clipping documents the name of "'Arsuf", a depopulated village seven kilometres north of Jaffa. Said village was captured by Ṣalah al-Din al-Ayyuby in the Battle of Hattin in 1187 and it features a market and a wall which the Canaanite built overlooking the coast, and it is said that they named the village after their God Resheph.
