"Fajja", ʿĀdel az-Zawaty, a Paper Clipping

Handwritten in Arabic, this paper clipping documents the name of "Fajja", a depopulated village northeast of Jaffa by the al-Auja River. Set at a plain, the village has red soil and many wells to provide drinking and irrigation water. In 1948, Jews occupied and displaced the village and related it to the Petah Tikva colony.
