"Art News", Newspaper Clippings, January 1989
Issued in Arabic, this document shows newspaper clippings featuring news pieces about art in Palestine. Issued by al-Ittihad Newspaper, the first clipping features an article entitled "A Pro-Palestine Joint Exhibit" about an exhibit held at al-Hakawati Theatre in Jerusalem hosting Palestinian, Israeli, and Italian artists. Held in January 1989, the Exhibit hosted Italian artist Patrício Esposito who represented the Kufiya Italian Group which considers the Palestinian Liberation Organization the sole representative of Palestinians. The Exhibit also hosted Palestinian artist Sulayman Manṣur who represented the League of Palestinian Artists and Israeli artist David Depp who represented the Israeli Progressive Artists Association. The second clipping, issued by al-Quds Newspaper on 2 January 1989, features a news piece about a festival at al-Hakawati Theatre hosting the League of Palestinian Artist and Italian artists. The third clipping features a news piece about opening an exhibit promoting artworks of Italian artists at al-Hakawati Theatre in Jerusalem.
