A Photograph of an Honorary Ceremony for the "Junun" Theatre Staff
Taken in 2005, this colour photograph shows an honorary ceremony for the theatre staff of the "Junun [Craziness]" play at the end of the performance. Written by Jalileh Nakkar, produced by Tamer Sulayman, and directed by Sameh Hjazy, the play tells the story of Nur, a troubled young man going through hardships trying to find himself. Produced by al-Midan Theatre, the play features Ṣaleh Bakry who plays Nur, Arin ʿĀbde who plays his mother, Hanan Helo who plays his psychiatrist, and Jawad Abdel-Ghany who plays his brother who's also a drug dealer.
