Addressed by Bassam ash-Shakaa to the Preparatory Committee of the Palestinian Democratic Assembly, this two-page letter emphasises the importance of uniting the Palestinian and Democratic Assemblies despite a difference in political programs, which came about as a result of a discussion between political parties different in ideologies under the Palestinian Assembly. In his letter, ash-Shakaa presents the position of the Assembly from the Palestinian Authority, signing the Oslo Accords and the national unity.
