"A Reading in the Palestinian Division", an Article by Bassam ash-Shakaa , 2006-2008
Handwritten by Bassam al-Shakaa, this four-page article addresses the Palestinian division between Hamas and Fatah, which occurred in the midst of Palestinian Legislative Elections in 2006. Ash-Shakaa argues that such crisis came to be as a result of peace agreements with Israel and suggests a collection of recommendations: a national unity is key for the resistance of the occupation and the freedom of the Palestinian lands; the return of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) is the only legal representative of the Palestinian people; fighting back and resisting the occupation is a must.
