The seven hundred and ninety-eighth issue of Attali'ah Newspaper which was published on July 1, 1993. Bashir al-Barghuthy is the issueʾs editor-in-chief, and it was printed in Salah ad-Din Press in al-Quds (Jerusalem). The 12-page issue covers the following: - The Head of the Citrus Producers Union: The security belt should be lifted off the Gaza Strip to rescue the citrus produce from being damaged. - As the tenth round of talks comes to an end, the Palestinian delegation: The American proposal should include the status of al-Quds (Jerusalem), an end to settlement, and sovereignty the land. - Arafat: The current talks are the last chance to establish peace in the region. - Rabin: Al-Quds (Jerusalem) will remain the capital of Israel and under its own sovereignty. - A one-week protest sit-in against the isolation of al-Quds (Jerusalem) organized by the Arnona Tax Committee. - Ghassan al-Khatib: Israeli measures in al-Quds (Jerusalem) are a major obstacle hindering negotiations. - Paving a new settlement road in Ein Qiniyye. - Israel continues to level cultivated lands in the fruit groves south of Gaza. - Mass arrests in Deir Istiya including the arrest of 20 young boys. - “Postmodernism”: Defining the concept is an issue in and of itself. - The Geneva Conventions: A legal and personal point of view by Felicia Langer. - Head of the American Jewish Congress: The United States endorses the negotiations to protects its own interests and to support Israel. - The military commander of the northern districts admits that the number of military operations has increased. - Rabin: I made an oath to be the last person to withdraw to the 1967 borders. - International condemnation of the American missile attack on Baghdad. - In the Nablus area: Public concern over the death of more Palestinians in car accidents with Israeli military vehicles. - An American human rights organization calls for Washington to maintain human rights standards when dealing with Israel.
