The eight hundred and twenty-sixth issue of Attali'ah Newspaper which was published on January 13, 1994. Bashir al-Barghuthy is the issueʾs editor-in-chief, and it was printed in Salah ad-Din Press in al-Quds (Jerusalem). The 12-page issue covers the following: - The death of the commander of the Central Command in a helicopter crash. - The settlement belt plan encroaches on 5 thousand dunams of Arab land. - The Old City of al-Quds (Jerusalem) under reinforced siege. Surveillance equipment is installed on the Cityʾs main gates. - Suleiman Al-Najjab: The current dialogue with the Palestinian leadership is both important and necessary and shouldnʾt be mistrusted. - Dr Abdul-Hafiz al-Ashhab after his return from Tunisia: The reform delegation opened discussion on the issue of democracy. We made clear the difference between leading a revolution and leading a country and we reiterated the importance of holding the elections on time. - Nashashibi: Our economic strategy is to break away from Israel and to cooperate with Jordan. - Tayseer Aruri: Our aim for the current stage is to expand the circle of decision-makers. The Central Councilʾs approval of the agreement was conditional.  - Giant investment companies raise the concerns of local construction companies in the West Bank. - Al-Bayyari: Systemic discrimination against Palestinian workers continues and trade union activists in the West Bank raise questions about cumulative cuts. - A Palestinian from Sa'ir accuses Israeli settlers of stealing his sheep. - Discord among the members of the Israeli Labour Party over the future of the Jordan Valley. - BʾTselem points the finger at the Israeli occupation authorities regarding the issue of informants.
