Attali'ah Newspaper, Issue 831, February 17 1994

The eight hundred and thirty-first issue of Attali'ah Newspaper which was published on February 17, 1994. Bashir al-Barghuthy is the issueʾs editor-in-chief, and it was printed in Salah ad-Din Press in al-Quds (Jerusalem). The 12-page issue covers the following: 1. A new Israeli law against Arabs to prevent 20 thousand Palestinians from staying in East Jerusalem. 2. Suleiman Najjab abstains from attending the meeting of the Executive Committee. 3. A new scheme to displace Arab al Jahalin from their lands to expand the settlement of Ma'ale Adumim and connect it to al-Quds (Jerusalem). 4. An article entitled “Officials in the Education and General Examination departments: There is still a chance to succeed in the second semester… Students go on strikes and hold sit-ins to protest the results”. 5. The Olive Centre and the Arab Thought Forum organize a symposium on the olive sector. 6. The Palestinian Centre for Peace and Equality and al-Jisr Centre in cooperation with the International Centre for Peace in the Middle East organize a symposium attended by Palestinian graduates from the Soviet Union and Russian immigrant Jews. 7. The residents of the Occupied Golan Heights commemorate the protests against the annexation resolution. 8.
