Attali'ah Newspaper, Issue 836, March 24 1944
The eight hundred and thirty-sixth issue of Attali'ah Newspaper which was published on March 24, 1994. Bashir al-Barghuthy is the issueʾs editor-in-chief, and it was printed in Salah ad-Din Press in al-Quds (Jerusalem). The 12-page issue covers the following: 1. The siege on Hebron continues after the massacre and the death of five shuhadaʾ after the Israeli occupation bombs some of its neighbourhoods. 2. Palestinian public figures expressed their discontent with the Security Council Resolution 904 regarding the Ibrahimi Mosque Massacre. 3. A letter and a plea from Palestinian mothers in Tel Rumeida neighbourhood in Hebron to mothers everywhere on the siege imposed upon the city by Israeli settlers. 4. Suleiman Al-Najjab, a member of the Palestine Liberation Organisationʾs Executive Committee, urges the establishment of a special committee to fight against the Judaization of al-Quds (Jerusalem). 5. Israeli security measures divide the city of Hebron into two parts. 6. An article by Abdul-Majid Hamdan. 7. An article by Ghassan al-Khatib. 8. An article on the feminization of poverty around the world. 12. A critical comparison between the two TV shows The End of a Brave Man and Abu Kamel. 13. An article entitled “Attaliʾah Open the Graduatesʾ Case”. 14. An article by Asmaʾ Abd Rabbo, a member of the No for Violence against Women Committee, headlined “Letʾs Make the International Year of the Family a Year of Solidarity and Harmony. A Happy Family is the Building Block of a Whole Society.” 15. An article by Khawla Salem entitled “Beginnings and Hope”. 16. A brief profile on a man from Gaza who went missing after his arrest 27 years ago. 17. The Knesset member Mahamid calls on Rabin to disclose information on the fate of a Palestinian prisoner, to approve a family reunification request, and to issue visiting permits for Palestinians in Jordan. 18. A new Israeli scheme that aims to isolate and forcibly displace the residents of Beit Iksa similarly to what happened in the three Latrun villages and Nabi Samwil. 19. Beit Hanina lacks dumpsters. 20. More than 80 residents of al-Shaghaf neighbourhood in Gaza are displaced from their homes due to a natural disaster.
