The eight hundred and fifty-first issue of Attali'ah Newspaper which was published on July 13, 1994. Bashir al-Barghuthy is the issueʾs editor-in-chief, and it was printed in Salah ad-Din Press in al-Quds (Jerusalem). The 20-page issue covers the following: 1. The masses mourn the death of the militant activist Tawfiq Ziad. 2. Suspended issues cast their shadows on the arrival of president Arafat. Palestinians have a lot of questions that need answers. 3. Mahmoud Shuqair writes about Tawfiq Ziad. 4. The Palestinian Authority continues its campaign for the release of all Palestinian prisoners. 5. Land prices skyrocket in Tulkarem. 6. An open invitation by the women department at the Agricultural Relief Committees to visit an exhibition held in honour of the Palestinian Heritage Day. 7. Tawfiq Ziad: A glowing page in the history of Palestinians. 8. Palestinian political and national figures write on the death of Tawfiq Ziad. 9. This is how our writers received the tragic news. 10. Subhi Shahruri writes “On Right and Left in the History of Thought”. 11. Attaliʾah interviews the economist Khalid Abdel-Shafi: Political stability and security are key factors in attracting investors and the economic situation will determine the relationship between the masses and authority. 12. A literary symposium in Birzeit University on the novelist and the art of the novel. 13. The Palestinian Agricultural Relief Committees organize a symposium entitled “Non-Governmental Organisations and Civil Society”. Dr Mustafa al-Barghuthy will be part of the panel. 14. Israeli authorities detain 46 Palestinian workers in Qalqilya under the pretext of them planning to enter the 1948 Occupied Territory without permits. 18. The Palestinian Village Club in Jifna concludes its events to commemorate the Palestinian Heritage Day. 19. The voluntary medical day organized by the Medical Relief Committees in Nablus and Tulkarem in cooperation with the Association of Palestinian and Israeli Doctors for Human Rights uncovers the deterioration of health care services in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. 20. The National Real Estate Company builds three apartment complexes for middle-class families and plans other projects for people with low income. 21. The lack of medical centres specialized in treating fire burns exacerbates the issue of girls suffering from fire burns. 22. The Palestinian people mourn the death of the socialist leader Tawfiq Ziad. 23. Israeli authorities continue the policy of imposing facts on the ground and getting ahead of itself.
