The eight hundred and fifty-third issue of Attali'ah Newspaper which was published on July 27, 1994. Bashir al-Barghuthy is the issueʾs editor-in-chief, and it was printed in Salah ad-Din Press in al-Quds (Jerusalem). The 20-page issue covers the following: 1. Settlers rush to impose facts on the ground and to seize more lands under the protection of the Israeli occupation. 2. The first Jordanian-Israeli meeting on the Dead Sea land. 3. The Israeli occupation seeks to turn the events at the Christian Quarter in al-Quds (Jerusalem) into a sectarian event. 4. Dissatisfaction among the members of Palestinian police after cutting down their wages. 7. Ahmed Qurei is prevented from joining an economic conference in al-Quds (Jerusalem). 8. An article entitled “What Other Said about the Late Knight Tawfiq Ziad”. 9. Ahmad Harb writes about the ever-changing political situation and the semi-static cultural scene. Predictions of the rise of two distinct forces on the Palestinian cultural scene. 10. The novel Ismail and the Other Side published recently by Birzeit University. 11. Newsweek magazine writes “How did Palestinian Refugees Become the Orphans of Peace?” 12. A section on popular jobs discusses falafel making. 13. Settlement expansion is still underway as the areas under self-rule expand. 14. Israeli bulldozers continue to level lands in Deir Istiya to expand the settlements of Yakir and Revava. 15. The prices of coffee rise by 100%. 16. The Israeli Occupation Police issues more traffic tickets. 17. Shops in the northern West Bank promote a defective pesticide. 18. The Director of the Agricultural Department in Gaza writes about the difficulties hindering the development of the agricultural sector. 19. The elections of the Union of Employees at the National Hotel in al-Quds (Jerusalem). 20. A festival and the fourth Palestinian Heritage Exhibition to commemorate International Heritage Day. 21. Attacks on Palestinian residents and their property continue and the latest is in Nablus. 22. Israeli soldiers open fire on Palestinian workers as they cross the border fence and on anyone who tried to give the workers first aid. 23. Walid Mustafa writes about the failure of Arab coordination. 24. Preparations to hold the elections of the Palestinian Engineersʾ Association.
